No legalese theatre. Here's exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and the controls you have.

The TL;DR

  • · We collect only what we need to run your account and the service.
  • · We don't sell your data. We don't rent it. We don't have ad tech.
  • · You own your business data. You can export or delete it anytime.
  • · When we share data with vendors (e.g. payment processors), it's strictly to deliver the service.

What we collect

Three buckets, nothing else:

  • Account data — your name, email, workspace name, billing details, and the password hash. Used to log you in and bill you.
  • Business data — invoices, bills, transactions, contacts, files you upload. This is yours. We process it on your behalf and never look at the contents except for support requests you initiate.
  • Usage data — anonymized metrics like which features get clicked, error logs, and approximate location (country level only). Helps us make the product less annoying.

Why we collect it

Four reasons, in plain order: (1) to run your account and provide the service, (2) to bill you correctly, (3) to keep the lights on (security, fraud prevention, performance monitoring), and (4) to improve the product. That's it. We don't profile, score, or repackage your data.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of vendors to deliver the service — cloud hosting, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring. Each is contractually bound to handle your data only on our instructions. We pick vendors with strong security postures and review them regularly.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, marketers, or anyone for purposes unrelated to running scount.my.

If we're ever served a valid legal request, we'll comply only to the minimum extent required by law and notify you unless legally prohibited.

Your rights

You can:

  • · See what we have on you — most of it is already visible inside your workspace.
  • · Export your business data in machine-readable formats (CSV, JSON, PDF).
  • · Correct anything that's wrong.
  • · Delete your account and have your data permanently removed within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain it (e.g. tax records).
  • · Object to any processing you're uncomfortable with.

Cookies

We use the bare minimum: a session cookie to keep you logged in, and a preference cookie that remembers things like your theme choice. No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers on the marketing site.

Children

scount.my is built for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has signed up, let us know and we'll remove the account.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll email account owners and post a banner in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. No silent updates.
