Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you spot something funny, email [email protected] immediately. You must be at least 16 to sign up and act on behalf of any business you register.
Using the service
Use scount.my for legitimate business accounting. Don't use it to commit fraud, launder money, evade taxes, or do anything that's clearly illegal in your country. Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the service. Don't impersonate other people. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that do these things.
Your data is yours
Everything you put into scount.my — invoices, transactions, contacts, documents — belongs to you. We're processing it on your behalf. You can export it at any time in standard formats. We won't use it to train models, sell to advertisers, or repackage for other commercial purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Billing
Free plans are free, forever. Paid plans bill in advance — monthly or yearly — in MYR (or your local equivalent at the prevailing rate). You can upgrade anytime; the price difference is prorated. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Failed charges trigger an email and a 14-day grace period before any downgrade.
Cancellation & refunds
Cancel anytime from inside your workspace — no phone calls, no retention scripts. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months on monthly plans, but unused months on yearly plans are refundable within the first 30 days. After that, your subscription runs to the end of the term. We retain your data for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind.
Our intellectual property
The scount.my software, brand, logos, and content are ours (or our licensors'). We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the service while your subscription is active. You don't get to white-label, resell, or redistribute the platform without a separate agreement.
Warranties
We work hard to make scount.my reliable, accurate, and secure. But the service is provided "as is" — we can't guarantee it will be perfect, uninterrupted, or fit for every specific use. Always keep an export. Always run your numbers past your accountant before filing.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to scount.my is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, missed opportunities). This is the standard SaaS arrangement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kuala Lumpur. We'd much rather work things out by email first — most disagreements never need to escalate.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms in a way that materially affects you, we'll notify account owners by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you don't like the new terms, you can cancel before they apply.
